This expression "the culture of life" is becoming an encouraging message, loaded with ethical and spiritual orientations, and also with operational programs. It is an expression that has become central and "synthetic" within the work and proposals of the recent conference of the Italian Church "At the Service of Human Life." But it is also an 'expression that is taken on with a different meaning by ecologists and environmentalists and finally within the biomedical and social sciences for which the expression is related to the other no less suggestive "quality of life."
