Doctors in generai and perinatologists in particular, all have to be epistemologists. That is, they ali have to provide a meaning for what they do. The author proposes some reflections about the "errors" in perinatology, and he also reports some data from his personal experience. Five kinds of errors in perinatology are considered: l) epistemological errors, 2) technical errors, 3) epidemiological errors, 4) hyper self-evaluation errors, 5) errors from parents misunderstanding.
