----------
The essay begins from a view to a recent "consensus statement" prepared by a group of bioethicists, in prevalence Anglo-Saxon, in which the criticism to the conscientiuos objection is harsh and systematic. Argumentative weaknesses of this position are highlighted especially in the legal perspective in which the institution is appropriately placed.
