----------
We have no doubts about the necessity of a new ethics to solve the new and urgent problems raised by technique when it applies to life. However, we have to be careful so that such ethics may not be guided by the interests of that technique in the form of a procedural rationality which makes us forget examining the singularity of each case. If we tackle it critically, Hans Jonas' philosophy appears to be as a good candidate to fight against such a danger since it takes into account the phenomenon of life.
