This article analyzes the recent Document of the Italian Committee of Bioethics, which has opened to the donation of kidneys from living persons unrelated, neither emotionally. After the review of Italian law on this matter, and after reading the previous Document of the same Committee on this, the article examines the main critical questions that this practice raises, in terms of anthropological, ethical and legal aspects.
