Human corporeality: Anthropological and theological dimensions

Abstract

Human corporeality enters bioethics as its own content and fundamental problem. In fact, “bioethics” is a composite term that links together bios (life) and ethos (ethics): it is ethics concerning the problems of life. Now life, particularly human life, is always life in the body and with the body. It is not only in the body and with the body: human life is also something else. But there is no doubt that precisely because human life is always a life in the body and with the body.
