Authors

The article first of ali analyses the main signs by which cerebral death is diagnosed, correlating these signs with the relative anatomical lesions. The author then illustrates the etiopathology of the damage that leads to cerebral death and the differential diagnosis between a persistent vegetative state and the death of the brain stem. The article concludes by highlighting the multiplicity of interpretations given to the term "cerebral death".
