For a just allocation of health care resources according to personalist bioethics.
Abstract
The author underlines the ethical criteria for the allocation of health care resources in the personalist bioethics perspective. Starting from the theoretical premises of finalism and cognitivism, the article points out the necessity of the right/duty of protection of human life and of the right/duty of cooperation for the defence of common good. The author focuses on the practical implications referring to the question of allocation of health care resources, macro and micro, discussing the principal criteria also with a confrontation with other theories in a pluralistic context.
